How to play

Type of Cards
The card deck contains 52 playing cards with 3 card types: (1) Hit cards, (2) Play cards, and (3) Null cards.  Hit cards are cards that a player would assess onto the opponent positioned to the player's immediate left. It is a card used to "hit" another player for the purpose of getting that player out of the game. A player may not be hit with duplicate Hit cards simultaneously.   Play cards are cards that a player would charge to themselves to help the player stay in the game.   Null cards are cards that have no value within the game and cannot be assessed on any player.
How to Play
Each player is dealt five (5) cards by the dealer. The first player to the left of the dealer goes first, and each subsequent player takes a turn following in a clockwise manner. A player may play any card they have, but may only play one card per turn. Players must maintain exactly five (5) cards in their hand. After drawing a card from the deck –the player must either throw a card into the pile, hit another player with a card (Hit card), or assess a card onto their own board (Play card). A player is declared "Knocked Out" when their board simultaneously contains the cards "You", "Got", “Knocked” and "Out!". Once a player is declared "Knocked Out", their cards are thrown back into the pile and recycled for continuous game play. The sole player who has not been "Knocked Out" in the game is the winner.
How to Use Each Card
The following illustrates how each card should be used in the game:   Block: Prevents an opponent from assessing a Hit card to 1 of the 4 spaces on your board. A player may collect and use up to 4 “Block” cards to completely cover their board from being hit. The "Block" card covers one board space per card, and if the other three spaces on your board are not covered by another "Block" card or a Hit card, then an opponent may assess a Hit card to the unprotected spaces on your board. When played, the card should be positioned onto the player's board and visible for others to see. Pass Card: Is a Play card that allows the possessor of that card to pass a Hit card that has been assessed to their board to the player to their immediate left so long as the card is distinct from any Hit cards that the player currently has.
Take Card: When levied upon another player, that player must pick up a Hit card from the player to their immediate left and assess it to their board, but only if the player has a Hit card assessed to their board, and the Hit card is distinct from any Hit cards that the player currently has. Unblock: Forces the opponent to the immediate left to remove their "Block" card from their board. You, Got, Knocked, and Out cards: These Hit cards assess a part of the "You got knocked out!" string to a player's board in an effort to have them “Knocked Out”, or eliminated, from the game. !, #, @, and % cards: These are Null cards that have no value or meaning in the game.
